Why we exist.
SaltLine Group started with a simple observation: most businesses don't need a massive agency. They need a small team that actually listens, thinks strategically, and builds things that work.
We founded SaltLine because we kept seeing the same problem. Companies would hire a dev shop, get a website or app that technically functioned, and then realize nobody had stopped to ask whether it solved the right problem. The code was fine. The thinking behind it wasn't.
So we built a firm that does both. We sit with you before a single line of code gets written. We ask hard questions about what your users actually need, where your business is going, and what success looks like in six months, not just at launch. Then we build it.
We're based in Boston, but we work with clients everywhere. Our team is small on purpose. Every project gets senior-level attention from start to finish. No handoffs to junior developers. No account managers acting as middlemen. You work directly with the people writing your code.

Most dev shops start with a wireframe. We start with a conversation. Before we touch any code, we need to understand your business, your users, and what you're actually trying to accomplish. That upfront work saves weeks of rework later and produces something that actually fits.
We handle the full lifecycle. Research, strategy, design, development, launch, and ongoing support. We're not a firm that builds something and disappears. When something breaks at 10pm on a Tuesday, you have our number.

We don't overcomplicate things. Clean architecture, straightforward communication, and solutions that make sense to the people who use them. If we can't explain what we built in plain language, we haven't finished building it.
